HISTORY
Original History & Death:
Henrik or Rikki for short was originally born Henrik Mikaelson in the 10th century to Esther and Mikael Mikaelson and was the youngest of seven children. Henrik is, of course, the younger brother of Freya, Finn, Elijah, Kol, Rebekah and his half-brother Niklaus.
Rikki mostly had a loving upbringing surrounded by his parents and siblings, who were all quite protective of him. But he did fear his father somewhat like the rest of his siblings but tried to not let it get the best of him and stop him from growing up and becoming his own man.
Mikael never laid a hand on him and he loved his youngest son unconditionally much like he had done with his eldest daughter, Freya before she died from the plague or so he thought back then, while he was away at war. This had proven to be a rare occurrence as the years went on for the rest of his siblings to receive the same treatment of familial love that Henrik had received most of his life.
But Henrik was one of the many unfortunate children of that time to die young, well before their thirteen birthday and living longer than his sister Freya ever did or so they had believed. Because, one night on a full moon, despite warnings from their parents, Henrik and Niklaus went out to see the werewolves transform, but he was brutally attacked and killed by one. It all happened so fast the boy barely had time to get away and Niklaus seemed to have just let it happen.
Whether or not, Klaus had tried to save his beloved brother is unknown, but Klaus's cowardice at the time was no doubt the direct result of a paralyzing fear he had no doubt fallen victim to upon seeing the viciousness and brutality of what the werewolves were capable of when mauling another living being without a second thought or any remorse in their primitive instincts.
Henrik's violent death caused Mikael to ask his wife Esther to transform their children into the first vampires; never wanting to lose another child again. Esther agreed and a ritual of blood magic was performed and paired with a spell of immortality was cast with horrifying results and consequences that would continue to plague and haunt Henrik's spirit for years to come even in the afterlife.
The Other Side, Esther, Finn & The Return:
Henrik's spirit was thought to be lost forever, since Esther believed her youngest child had never transitioned to the Other Side upon his death, since she searched for him for years, but never found him. But that was not the case.
Henrik's spirit had been restless for over a thousand years, drifting between the Other Side, the Earthly Plane and the Brightworld. His soul could not rest in peace, eventually Henrik was visited by a malevolent spirit, who offered him the chance to reunite with his mother, Esther, on the Other Side, Henrik didn't believe the entity at first, but when the path was opened to him, he took it but not before asking the entity, why he was helping him.
The entity simply replied: 'One day, Henrik Mikaelson, I will need you. When that day comes, I will seek you out.' Despite the cryptic answer, Henrik thanked the being for their help and proceeded to crossover to the Other Side. Henrik found his mother almost immediately as the spirit promised and Esther was beyond emotional, after she was reunited with her baby boy, after so long. It was a happy reunion for the souls of a mother and her youngest child.
While on the Other Side together, Esther taught her son much about magic, where he was able to finally tap into his latent witch heritage and excelled quickly in the use of Spirit Magic following in the footsteps of his older brother, Kol, as a witch prodigy along with the impressive intelligence he seemed to possess and helped his mother act through the Other Side with both his help and other allied spirits to stop his siblings and more.
Thanks to the combined efforts of Henrik, Esther, a newly joined Finn and other allied spirits they helped Bonnie shatter the Veil, Prison Worlds and more. Their motives weren't entirely unselfish, since Henrik along with his mother and brother was going to use the 'Nexus Vorti', Bonnie had now created to resurrect themselves due to Esther's extensive magical knowledge.
It worked, of course, as Esther along with Finn and Henrik returned to the world of the living. Henrik couldn't believe he was alive again, he had a second chance at life, since it had previously been stolen from him. But that wasn't enough for Henrik, he refused to start his new life off as a 13-year old boy. He felt, he had evolved beyond his current form both mentally and emotionally, so he asked his mother to spin her dark magic, like she had done once before for his siblings and help him 'grow up' so to speak.
Esther was of course, hesitant at first, but then she foresaw the benefits that might come with such a request. She granted her youngest son his request and aged him by five years physically, mentally and emotionally.
A now 18-year old, Henrik who now prefers to go by the name of Rikki in modern times was beyond pleased with the results, as his mother told him, this is how he would have looked, if he had lived long enough to see this particular age. Rikki helped his mother pick out the perfect witch body for his older brother, Finn, to take up residence in. It was powerful too, just like theirs and no-one would miss it.

Henrik or Rikki as he preferred to be called nowadays was enjoying a small glass of vodka and coke as he sat on the sofa with some soft, classical music playing in the background as was currently reading through one of his mother's old grimoires. He took a swig of his drink, when he felt the distorted unseen presence of magic wash over him, alerting him immediately to a potentially intruder, one of his sister's spells to protect the family, only another Mikaelson could sense it.
Rikki quickly put his drink down on the transparent glass coffee table along with the grimoire and made his way downstairs, he remained cautious but was prepared to defend himself, if need be.
He then saw a body laying face-down outside the compound entrance, unable to enter due to the boundary spells and more in place. Rikki carefully made his way over to the entrance. He used his magic to telekinetically turn the body over onto their back, while maintaining a safe distance.
Rikki's eyes instantly widened as he recognized the newly revealed male body in question..
"Sebastian!?!" a shocked Rikki immediately stroked the side of the vampire's handsome features, he looked terrible and pale.
