Setting the Stage

It has been 2 years since Klaus completed the ritual, killing Elena in order to finally become the first Hybrid in the supernatural world. The gang had always suspected that he'd form an army of hybrids to do his bidding but after multiple attempts with no success, he gave up, unaware that Elena was alive and breathing. Regardless, instead of his army stood his new right hand man, Stefan who has remained at Klaus' side for the past 2 years.

6 months into their partnership, Klaus undaggered his favorite sibling, Rebekah. Now, two originals roamed the Earth alongside a dangerous ripper at the leash of Niklaus. Instead of focusing on building his hybrid empire, the trio explored America, conquering and slaughtering much like they did all those years back in Chicago. Unbeknownst to Klaus, this was all a ploy by Rebekah who behind the scenes, managed to work out where Klaus had been hiding their siblings' coffins. As soon as it was safe, she undaggered her brothers and fled alongside them from Klaus and Stefan.

Meanwhile in Mystic Falls, Damon had become detached from Elena and the rest of the Mystic Falls gang. His obsession wrapping around finding his brother, with each lead ending in failure. Elena had lost not only Stefan, but Damon. Bonnie, noticing the distress on Elena, began dabbling in magic she should have steered clear from. This has shattered the veil to the other side but also the Prison Worlds, freeing both Kai Parker and the Heretics.

With all the Mikaelson siblings reunited it wouldn’t be long until trouble arose between the ancient family. Bitter words and brutal fights paled in comparison to that night. After months of schemes and betrayal, white oak pierced the oldest Mikaelson’s heart and an unassailable line was drawn between the Mikaelsons. Klaus had been shunned by his only family, becoming known as Kinslayer. Tension is brewing has the Mikaelsons seek to punish Klaus once and for all.

For example, if you wanted to bring the Winchesters to town, that would be great, but some of their history would need to be adapted. The setting is post-season 2 finale. However, you're welcome to pursue storylines from later seasons. It's AU after all.
